RECOMMENDED TOURS

TOUR 1 : This one hour tour departs the Bella Coola Valley via the Nusatsum River to Mount Purgatory, across the Ape Icefield to Ape Lake, then on to the Turner Lake chain to circle the Hunlen Falls for photographs. We then proceed over the switchbacks of Highway 20 and through the Raindbow Mountains to Thunder Mountain. Re-entering the Bella Coola Valley via the Saloompt River.

TOUR 2 : This 30 minute tour departs the airport at Hagensborg, heading to the townsite of Bella Coola, then climbing up the Necleetsconay River to Talchazoone Lakes, across the High Country to Glacier lake, then down the Noosgulch River to land back at the airport. This tour gives a good view of the lower Bella Coola Valley, High Alpine, some Glaciers, and there is always the possibility of spotting Mountain Goats.

TOUR 3 : For the Hikers, we take three people and their backpacks up the Nusatsum River to Ape Lake. The flight gives a good view of the trail. It takes approximately 12 hours to walk out, depending upon skill and trail conditions; and is probably best done in 2 days.
